How Dare I

The recent health care debate is heating up as congress tussles over solutions to health care reform. Groups with a deep-rooted interest are even taking to television ads their messages hoping to sway opinion, it almost seems like we are in the midst of another presidential election. Sentiments are running very strong, as evidenced by Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst during Obama’s televised speech to congress. That nagging issue of what to do with illegal immigrants is being brought back into the spotlight. Maybe this time emphasis will be placed on the need for immigration reform, rather than, illegals are precluded from health care.

Maybe we should entertain the touchy subject and look for potential benefits seeing as how our country is so entrenched in illegal immigration. The following article visits the taboo idea.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/215340/page/1. Our immigration policy as a whole is a farce. After all, even the IRS has a system in place to collect taxes from these people. Denying the option for health insurance still would do nothing to stop someone from going to the ER, receiving health care and racking up more costs to pass on to the taxpayer that was probably screaming alongside Joe Wilson.
